I’ve always said I would indulge in books if I ever found myself with more money than I knew what to do. I currently use the library since I can’t afford to support my reading habit. I found this link for Random House’s Read it Forward program on readerville’s blog (check out her blog for great book reviews), and decided to sign up. I’m not sure if I’ll really receive the books, but decided it was worth taking a chance.

Our book club heard that Rae Lowery gave 5,000 books away to homeless shelters for kids that don’t have (and may never have had) a book of their own. That is just so great. After that, we started reading all of her books and doing the Read it Forward process with them. Any author who is that generous is okay in our book! Right now we are reading The Case of the Pack-Rat Park, and last month we read The Case of the Terrible Teacher. Next month we will read The Case of the Lost Kid.
