I’ve been tagged with a couple of memes, and as usual, I’m slow to respond.

The other meme I’ve been tagged for is the Bookworm Award. Avis of She Reads and Reads tagged me first and it took me so long to respond that I was tagged by Cindy, Ramya, Bobbie and S. Krishna. This meme goes like this:
Open the closest book to you—not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment—to page 56. Write out the fifth sentence as well as the next two to five sentences.
This comes from Never Change by Elizabeth Berg:
“Well, it is a very clean and classic scent, but now he says the smell bothers him. Meanwhile, he puts on his cheap cologne a bottle at a time. He who wears underwear for days in a row, I kid you not, I have to pry it off him! I’m telling you, I’m very sorry to say this, but I think he needs to be placed.”

Congrats on all your tags!!
Thanks for stopping by today — I took all the photos that appear on my blog (including the banner). They are copyrighted “cbl,” which are my “legal” initials.
I’m waiting for your entry to Wordless Wednesday!

Holy Cow! – lots of stuff here. That you love olives reminds me of my favorite spaghetti sauce… whichever has black and green olives listed on the label.

I love Elizabeth Berg. That quote worked out well, I think!

I love those 7-things type memes. It’s great to learn a little more about the people behind the blogs I like!
Interesting book quote. I’ve only read Open House by Berg and that was quite awhile ago.

I was going to tag you too. But I see that you have been tagged already. This is the first time I am doing this. So I am not sure if it counts or I have to find someone else.

Great tags…love the designs! I like olives but only the black ones, the green ones are so bitter!

I love the Berg quote. Are you enjoying the book, Kathy?
I love the meme Tara created – and the cute button to go with it.

Loved reading these, Bermuda. Fixing your hair seems to be such a simple thing, but I have no idea how to do mine either. No matter what I try, it never ever looks as good as it does right after I get it cut and the stylist does it. So, I’m with ya!
