Mailbox Monday
August 20, 2012
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and hosted by Jennifer of 5 Minutes for Books this August. I’m starting to feel a little fall in the air when I get up in the mornings, but it’s certainly gone by midday. I’ll probably be the only one to mourn the passing of summer. I found these books in my mailbox last week:
Monday
- The Right Hand by Derek Haas came from Mulholland Books
- The Boy Recession by Flynn Meaney was a Twitter win from Little Brown Kids
- Lost Girls by Ann Kelley was a Twitter win from Little Brown Kids
Tuesday
- Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions by Lysa Terkeurst came from Zondervan
Wednesday
- The Promise of Stardust by Priscille Sibley came from Harper Collins
Friday
- The Investigation of Ariel Warning by Robert Kalich came from Meryl Zegarek Public Relations
- Collateral by Ellen Hopkins came from Simon and Schuster
- Fire in the Ashes by Jonathan Kozol came from Random House
Did you find any goodies in your mailbox last week?

All new to me as well. Enjoy the week.
Looks like a lot of great books. Enjoy
Unglued sounds great!
I can always count on you receiving books I’ve never heard of…LOL enjoy
Wow, well done! I always enjoy your mailboxes, they open my eyes to new titles I want!
I’ve read one Ellen Hopkins book and was so blown away by it…so I’ve got my eyeball on this one. And I got Unglued as well (by mistake) but it sounds like maybe it would do me some good to read it. I’ve been a bit unglued lately.
You always have a great mailbox. All are “new to me” so will be anxious to read your reviews. Have a great week.
All new to me titles but The Promise of Stardust sounds good. Looking forward to your thoughts on that one. Have a wonderful week, Kathy, and enjoy your new reads.
Enjoy your new goodies Kathy…most of them are new to me!
Great mailbox! Hope you enjoy them all….and thanks for visiting my blog.
Nice books, Kathy. Many of the titles are new to me. Happy Monday to you and little Milou!
Kathy, you got some great books this past week. Some of the book titles are new to me but looking at the description they sound really good. Enjoy them
I will mourn the passing of summer too! I see a couple of books that I will be checking out!
Summer, gone already, I going to the beach on Thursday, it better be beautiful, or mother nature will get a piece of my mind. Great mailbox.
Fire in the Ashes is on my reading list too. Enjoy your stack!
I haven’t heard of any of these, but the titles sound neat. I hope they are all awesome!

I feel very out of the loop as I haven’t heard of many of these. Enjoy them all!
Ellen Hopkins has another coming out, wow. I like the summer too Kathy.
All these are new to me, I had fun looking them up and adding some of them to my wishlist 🙂
After listening to Perfect by Ellen Hopkins and seeing her speak in person at the UCF Book Festival, I would love to read Collateral. Nice new additions today. I love some of the titles that showed up in your mailbox!
These are all new to me this week.
I’m right there with you on mourning the end of summer. As much as I complain about excessive heat and humidity I’ll take it any, any, any time over cold weather.
Wow, must be great to get books almost every day! These are all new to me. Happy reading!

Such interesting titles! Have a great reading week…!!!
Here is my post.
Hi Kathy,
You either read very quickly, or you have a secret room for stashing all your books away. Your mailbox is always gloriously full and with such a diverse range of genres.
All of your titles are new to me and I keep telling myself that I just can’t add any more to my wishlist, but hey! it would be rude not to include one of your selection …. I really like the sound of ‘Callateral’. It is one of those books which despite being categorised as YA, would do equally as well in the adult marketplace I think.
Thanks for highlighting this one,
Yvonne
These are all new titles to me, and some look like really good reads. Enjoy your reading week!
The summer has slipped by, too quickly. Enjoy your new books, Kathy!
This looks like a great collection of books! Collateral and Lost Girls look especially good!
Enjoy!
I did find such a good book in my mailbox and had to read it at once.
Enjoy your books!
Hope your week is off to a great start.
Such a nice haul of books. I too am happy that the summer is passing us by, I really like the Fall season. It’s getting cooler in the mornings and nights here now as well. Happy reading 🙂
You got some great books! Hope you get a lot of reading done.
I’m looking forward to THE PROMISE OF STARDUST as well!
They all look fabulous…I am off to put them on my wishlsts now!
Lovely mailbox! The Promise of Stardust sounds intriguing.
Those are almost all new to me except the Ariel Warning book which I received in the mail today.
I haven’t heard of these titles but I love to learn of new books. Happy, happy reading!
I hope you enjoy your books! My pc has a nasty virus and is in being fixed. I’m using my lap top which I don’t really like, so I didn’t post MB Monday today.
I am already mourning the end of summer. It never lasts long enough for me!
I hope you enjoy all of the goodies you got in your mailbox and have a wonderful week!
These are all new titles for me! I hope you enjoy them all! I won’t be sad to see summer go after all the heat we had.
I so love it when the mailbox is full
We had very different book weeks!
The Boy Recession?! Sounds intriguing! The only new one I had come in this week was The Baker’s Daughter (which I bought). Actually take that back–I got IT, too!
I’ve not heard of any of these.
Looks like a great stack. Enjoy!
None of these are familiar to me, so I definitely can’t wait to see what you think of them. Happy reading!
