I love how you always give me an idea of what the next bookmark will look like in advance 😀 As usual, I love it. And Godmother is a book I’ve been meaning to read. I hope you enjoy it.
Wow some fantastic books! I used to watch Little House on the Prairie every week growing up — I’m sure this is a great book.
The Taste Test book sounds delish too! Are you going to make some recipes from it?
Feel free to check out my list here http://metroreader.blogspot.com/2009/08/mailbox-monday-august-24th.html
I’m expecting Everything Sucks soon. Hope we both like it 🙂
The Melissa Gilbert one sounds good.
Enjoy your mailbox!
The book mark is beautiful. I must be missing out on this somewhere. I shall have to investigate. I really want to read Prairie Tale.
great list of books and I love the summer theme to the bookmark! happy reading.
Great pile of books there!! I want to read that Godmother book too, it looks great! And that is a very cute bookmark.
I love the bookmark. And by the way we loved the movie Julie and Julia yesterday too!
Sounds like a great batch – especially “The Resurrectionist.” But my vote for best book title goes to “Everything Sucks”!
I’m waiting for my ‘Everything Sucks’ copy too, sounds really good.
I want Godmother too 🙂
Great books Kathy.
Detectives Don’t Wear Seatbelts sounds like a fun read. I like that title! You got a nice batch of diversity this time. Have a good week and enjoy your books.
Lots of good titles there Kathy. The one that intrigues me is Detectives Don’t Wear Seatbelts. Sounds like a fun detective story.
Those look like great books. You have a fun week of reading ahead of you. Can you get that many books read in one week, or do the books carry over and you have a stack a mile high waiting? The only books I got in the mail last week were ones I ordered. But I’m having fun reading those!

This looke like a great assortment of books! I really like the sound of that Melissa Gilbert book.
The Melissa Gilbert book has been on my radar, just because I literally grew up with that show. Now my daughter has the first three years on DVD and is obsessed with them too. One thing I have to say…Melissa certainly blossomed from those earlier awkward years!
Oh, I loved the Resurrectionist! It is very weird, but I like weird! Hope you enjoy it.
Melissa Gilbert’s book I enjoyed as well. Though I do wish she’d spent more time on her Little House years.
Your others are all new to me. Hope you enjoy them!
Love the bookmark! I have a few of them and boy, does she have talent!
I’d love to read Melissa Gilberts book, you got some really nice books this week!
The books look great — there are a couple that I’m envious of. But the bookmark is spectacular! Enjoy!
Looks like a mailbox filling week for you! As usual 🙂
Hi Kathy, had you ever shown a photo of your bookshelves? You must have one heck of a library.
Lovely bookmark 🙂
And some cool books in there. Enjoy
Nice variety of books, Kathy.
I really like the look of that cookbook, America’s Most Wanted Recipes. I just watched a video on Amazon of the author talking about his book. It looks really good.
What an assorted collection. Like the colourful books!
Mondays: What’s up?
Love the bookmark, and I’m jealous that you got The Godmother and The Resurectionist….enjoy

I enjoyed The Godmother. Unholy Mischief sounds a bit mischievous 🙂
I am now following your blog because it seems I am always following your comments (you’re one of the first to comment:) Have a great Monday!
Awesome list – How do you get so many books?
Godmother looks really good, I really want to read that book. Hope you enjoy it and I’ll be looking forward to your review.
The Resurrectionist is a new one for me. It looks interesting, I’ll have to check that out.

Prairie Tale looks like a really interesting book. I look forward to hearing what you thought about it.
LOVE the bookmark! And I’m eyeing that PRAIRIE TALE book – I think it’s a must read!
It looks like you received some great books! I was a big fan of Little House so Melissa Gibert’s book may interest me; however, I do have to say that I enjoyed here sister, Sarah, on Roseanne much more – must be because it was comedy.
I’m looking forward to hear what you thin about these books, especially “everything Sucks” and “The Resurrectionist”! 😀
Everything Sucks except my bookmark, right? LOL!!! I can’t wait to see what you think of Melissa Gilbert’s book. I covet that one.
Wow, you really raked them in this week! Fantastic! I read all of the Little House on the Prairie books but I had no idea Melissa Gilbert wrote something else. I’m interested to see what you think of it! Detectives Don’t Wear Seatbelts sounds like a fun read and Godmother< I've noticed is very popular.
Would you mind telling me what the August Bookmark refers to? Sorry! Still learning things here!
Enjoy your new books, Kathy! Happy reading!

That August bookmark is sooo cute!!
Prairie Tale looks like a great book. This is the first I’ve seen about it, so I’ll be anxious to read your review.
Lots of good stuff! I bought Prairie Tale for my mom but she hasn’t read it yet. Isn’t this month’s bookmark from Jennifer fantastic! I love it!
Great stuff! I read Godmother a while back and enjoyed it.
I reviewed Melissa Gilbert’s book over on my blog, if you want to pop over and take a look. It was very good, different!
And I too am intrigued by the bookmark! Very cute! I looked on the Literate Housewife’s blog, but couldn’t see a bookmark club…inquiring (nosy) minds want to know???
