Giveaway: The Lonely Hearts Club

January 11, 2010

Last Friday, I reviewed a great new YA book, The Lonely Hearts Club, by Elizabeth Eulberg.  Today, thanks to Big Honcho Media, I’m hosting a giveaway for three copies of this delightful book.  The publisher describes the book this way:

Penny is sick of boys and sick of dating, so she vows: No more. She’s had one too many bad dates, and has been hurt by one too many bad boys. It’s a personal choice…and soon everybody wants to know about it. It seems that Penny’s not the only girl who’s tired of the way girls change themselves (most of the time for the worse) in order to get their guys…or the way their guys don’t really care about them. Girls are soon thronging to The Lonely Hearts Club (named after Sgt. Pepper’s band), and Penny finds herself near legendary for her non-dating ways – which is too bad, since the leader of The Lonely Hearts Club has found a certain boy she can’t help but like…

The book trailer for this one is a lot of fun:

To enter to win one of three copies of The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg, simply leave a comment on this post. Giveaway is open to those with a United States mailing address only (international readers can enter if you have a friend in the States who can accept your prizes by mail).  I will use random.org to determine the winner.  Contest ends at midnight EST, Monday, January 25, 2010.  Winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 26, 2010.

Sounds like a great narrative way for girls to get the message of ‘Be True to Yourself’ … and a good way to introduce a new generation to the beatles.

Now that’s an interesting idea for a YA novel (and one that could carry over to young women a bit older). Plus, looking at the cover, I see she has an endorsement from Stephenie Meyer (congrats on that!). I hope Eulberg has much success with this book.
